Kennedy Space Center Tours

shuttle
Even though NASA is shutting down the space shuttle program, you can still get a tour of the Kennedy Space Center while on vacation here in Central Florida. Come see space history as you’re guided through an exhibition known as “Sci-Fi Summer: Where Science Fiction Meets Fact”.

The 200 square mile Kennedy Space Center is part of Florida’s “Space Coast”, midway between Jacksonville and Miami, and 35 miles east of Orlando. The Visitor Complex offers many exhibits and experiences for the public, and visitors can take a bus tour through restricted NASA areas. Communities here include Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral.

Embark on mankind’s ultimate journey to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. NASA’s launch headquarters is the only place on Earth where you can tour launch areas, meet a veteran astronaut, see giant rockets and train in spaceflight simulators. The sky isn’t the limit, it’s just the beginning!

Update 9/25/11: Corrected poor wording of first sentence to add “the space shuttle program” thanks to feedback from Stephen C. Smith. Beyond the shuttle, the USA, NASA, and KSC are committed to a long list of space initiatives with launches other than the shuttle that are scheduled for decades into the future.
